Harmonic Drive (Strain Wave Gear) Technology

⚠ Recommended input voltage: 12V If voltage drops below 10.8V, the mount will emit an under-voltage warning beep. For optimal performance, use the official ZWO power adapter and properly rated power cables.
It is recommended to use a counterweight of ≤5 kg. When using a 5 kg counterweight, the lever arm should be installed within the range of 20 cm to 30 cm.
For counterweights of other masses, the installation position can be calculated as follows:
Assume the counterweight mass is m kg. The allowable lever arm length L is defined by:
10 N·m ≤ m × g × L ≤ 15 N·m
where g = 9.8 m/s², which can be approximated as 10 m/s². For example, if a 2 kg counterweight is used, the allowable range of L is from
10 N·m / (2 × 10 m/s²) = 0.5 m to
15 N·m / (2 × 10 m/s²) = 0.75 m.

Tout simplement superbe, cette monture est magnifique tous mes problèmes sont résolus depuis que j’utilise cette monture. Stabilité de communication réseau, guidage hors pair en plus d’être très silencieuse. P.A. Très facile à faire et que dire du suivi ultra efficace et de la robustesse du boîtier. Gestion des câbles très propre de façon bien ordonnée et sans risque d’accident. Je la recommande fortement pour ma part rien de négatif mais dispendieuse.

The AM5N mount is a fabulous device
The AM5N mount is a fabulous device, making stargazing simpler and more enjoyable. There thousands of objects in its database, and one can add any number of new targets (e.g. comets) and click "goto" and it'll take you there effortlessly. Easy to get gong, seamlessly integrated with ASIAIR Plus and its respective app.
For years, I've been doing the "hunter & seeker" approach, manually targeting which remains fun, but the AM5N certainly adds another dimension to stargazing and astrophotography.

AM5N is an excellent mount
I am getting better RMS guiding values than with my heq5 and it is lighter and easier to move and setup. I am keen to travel to other locations to do AP.

Very quiet
This thing is very quiet and smooth. It also helps with cable management. One power cord in. I still have to use power cords for the dew heaters . But that manageable. Shipping was fast. I haven’t been able to use it yet do to the weather hope to get some clear skies soon.

Fantastic for AP. My first EQ mount. Works great with the ASIAir. Reasonably fast polar alignment; guiding consistently around/below .5" guiding error.

Monture ultra légère
Cette monture supporte très facilement um Celestron 8 avec caméra et accessoires. Très précise et facile à mettre en place et à aligner sur le pôle. Elle est tellement légère qu'il faut la lester avec un poids dans une poche prévue à cet effet. J'utilise la batterie pour ce faire. Jusqu'à présent, contrairement à certains commentaires vu sur internet, un peu de vent ne fait pas vibrer la monture.
