Affordable and versatile, but the image is not clear

I was excited to receive this filter in a sturdy frame with 3 adjustable knobs to securely fasten the filter to telescopes with a range of apertures. I thought it would be perfect for my several small telescopes, including my Celestron C90. Great price!

However, I find the view dim, with a lot of scattered light, and the clarity is lacking. I am comparing it with my trusty Thousand Oaks filter from 1998. I’m pretty disappointed, and wonder if I just got a really bad one. Unfortunately, it is ineligible for return, which I did not know when I purchased it.

Impressive !
The quality of the image was clean and sharp with a nice orange colour ,sunspots were very noticeable . Construction of the filter is aluminum not plastic and has very user friendly adjustment screws for optimal fit very satisfied with my purchase
