I recently purchased this telescope, and have been giving it a go for several nights. Note that I am a novice, so there is a learning curve for me.
Assembly was easy, got great views of several double stars, and was able to see M92 and M13 in severe light pollution.
The major plus points of this Dob are the double focuser, which is amazing, and the curved vanes, which do seem to reduce diffraction spikes. The included eye pieces are a great start, I will purchase a Barlow lens and wide angle eye piece later to expand my viewing experience.
All in all, a great telescope for starters, plenty of apperture, easy to use, and ready to go after assembly.
Thank you for your thoughtful review. We're glad the assembly process was straightforward and that you're already achieving great results on double stars, M92, and M13. The dual focuser is indeed standout feature of this model. When you're ready to expand your kit with a Barlow lens or wide-angle eyepiece, our team is happy to offer recommendations. Enjoy your continued journey into astronomy!
